Clear agreements
Good service starts with trust.
This page explains what you can expect from The Alpine Co. and what we need from you to service your skis or snowboard carefully and on time.
01Who are we?
These terms are used by Ski Doctor, trading under the name The Alpine Co..

02When do these terms apply?
These terms apply to every offer, online booking and agreement under which we service or repair skis, snowboards or other winter sports equipment. Deviations only apply when agreed together in writing.
If any provision proves invalid, the remaining provisions continue to apply. The invalid provision will be replaced by a valid arrangement that reflects the original intention as closely as possible.
03Booking and agreement
An online booking is complete when you receive our confirmation by email. Check the confirmation and report any errors as soon as possible.
The booking reserves workshop capacity for the stated number of equipment items. One pair of skis counts as one item and one snowboard counts as one item. Availability remains subject to the calendar and capacity shown in the booking tool.
We are not required to honour obvious writing, input or pricing errors. We will contact you and, where possible, offer an appropriate solution.
04Your equipment and information
You must drop off the equipment at the agreed time and disclose relevant details, previous repairs and known damage. Providing the brand, model, length and identifying features is recommended but not mandatory.
Remove loose or valuable accessories that are not required for the treatment. We may refuse or pause an assignment if the equipment is unsafe, unsuitable or cannot responsibly be treated from a technical perspective.
05Prices, estimates and additional work
Prices on the website and in the booking tool include VAT unless clearly stated otherwise. The price shown during booking is an estimate based on your selections.
Inspection may show that another package or an additional repair is preferable or necessary. We only perform work that materially increases the agreed price after you have consented. If you do not respond within a reasonable period, we may pause the work and agree a new schedule.
Existing bookings generally retain the price recorded at the time of booking. If you change the assignment, the current price may apply to that change.
06Performance, drop-off and Same Day Ready
We perform the assignment with due care and professional skill. The service provider and drop-off slot stated in the booking form part of the agreement. For bookings through The Alpine Co., the standard drop-off slot is 10:00-10:30.
A promised or expected completion date is based on timely drop-off, the condition of the equipment, parts availability and normal workshop conditions. Same Day Ready applies when stated in the appointment and when these conditions can be met. Unforeseen damage or additional work may require later completion; we will inform you as soon as possible.
A minor scheduling deviation does not entitle you to compensation. Your statutory rights in the event of a material failure remain unaffected.
07Cancellation, rescheduling and cooling-off period
To cancel or reschedule an appointment, contact us as soon as possible. Provided the work has not started, we will reasonably seek a new date or cancel the assignment.
If you book online as a consumer, you generally have a fourteen-day cooling-off period. If you expressly ask us to begin within that period, we may charge a proportionate amount for work already performed if you cancel. If the service is fully performed within the cooling-off period, the right of withdrawal only ends if you expressly agreed to commencement beforehand and acknowledged that your right would end upon full performance.
If an appointment is scheduled less than fourteen days ahead, contact us immediately if you wish to cancel. Statutory exceptions and mandatory consumer rights continue to apply.
08Payment and invoices
Payment is due upon collection by debit card or cash, unless agreed otherwise in writing. A business VAT invoice is provided when correctly requested during booking and the required invoice details have been supplied.
If an amount is not paid on time, we first send a payment reminder and give consumers the statutory period to pay. Statutory interest and permitted collection costs may be due thereafter.
09Collection and storage
After notification that the work is complete, collect the equipment within a reasonable period. Let us know if you cannot collect it on time. After repeated reminders and a generous collection period, reasonable storage charges notified in advance may be applied.
We handle uncollected equipment with care. Ownership does not automatically transfer to us; any further steps will follow the law.
10Complaints, inspection and remedies
Inspect the equipment on collection and report a complaint within a reasonable time after discovering the issue. Describe the complaint as clearly as possible and allow us to assess the result.
If the complaint is justified, we will correct the treatment free of charge, perform the service again or provide another appropriate legal remedy. This does not limit your statutory warranty or consumer rights.
11Liability and risks associated with older equipment
Old, heavily worn or repeatedly machine-treated equipment may have invisible weaknesses, delamination, fatigued bonds or a very thin remaining base. This condition cannot always be identified during a normal preliminary inspection. Ordinary machine treatment may reveal such a pre-existing or hidden defect or cause the equipment to become damaged during treatment.
The customer must inform us in advance about known age, damage, previous repairs and repeated machine treatments. If we identify a particular risk during inspection, we will consult the customer before continuing and may refuse the assignment or propose an adjusted treatment.
We are not liable for damage caused solely by a pre-existing or reasonably undetectable defect, normal material ageing or previous treatments, insofar as the damage occurs despite careful and professionally competent performance.
We remain liable for direct damage resulting from a demonstrable failure attributable to us. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory statutory consumer rights or excludes liability where exclusion is not legally permitted, including in cases of intent or deliberate recklessness.
12Force majeure
In circumstances beyond our reasonable control—such as a serious malfunction, fire, failure of essential equipment, illness, transport problems or government measures—we may suspend performance or propose a new date. We will inform you as soon as possible and work with you to find a reasonable solution.
13Personal data
We process personal data to accept, schedule, perform and administer the assignment. How we do this and which rights you have is explained in our privacy policy. Information about cookies is available in our cookie policy.
14Amendments and applicable law
We may amend these terms when our services or legislation change. An existing booking is generally governed by the version in force when the booking was made, unless a statutory change requires immediate amendment.
The agreement is governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent Dutch court, without prejudice to all mandatory rules protecting consumers.
